Phillip Officer at THE GARDENIA in June

One of New York's favorite singers, Phillip Officer, will make a rare California appearance in Hollywood on Friday & Saturday, June 11th & 12th at 9:00 pm at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444). "Let Yourself Go with Phillip Officer" is a fresh new approach for this multi-award winning vocalist. Musical director is Shelly Markham. The music charge is $15, plus a $10 food/drink minimum. Dinner served from 7:00 pm.

Long recognized as a master of composer/lyricist songbook tributes, Phillip makes a new and refreshing departure with a magical mix of audience favorite requests with an eclectic seasoning of songwriters ranging from Cyndi Lauper to Irving Berlin. Veteran collaborators will include Marilyn and Alan Bergman, Sergio Mendez, Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen, Burton Lane, Alan Jay Lerner and Stephen Sondheim. Celebrating the talents of new composers Officer will spotlight Jeanine Tesori Adam Guettel and Henry Krieger.

Mr. Officer is the recent recipient of a 2004 New York Nightlife Award for Outstanding Vocalist. He has performed in myriad venues encompassing the world famous Carnegie Hall, the legendary Oak Room in the Algonquin Hotel, and the Broadway stage. His arresting performances have earned him multiple Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs Awards including 1997 & 1998 as Outstanding Major Male Vocalist, and 2002 Major Male Recording for HEART AND SOUL. Officer originated the role of the Geek in the Tony-nominated musical Side Show.
