GREGG MARX MAKES HIS NY CABARET DEBUT AT DANNY'S

Gregg Marx, best known to audiences for his 1987 Emmy-award winning performance as Tom Hughes on the TV soap As The World Turns, brings his critically acclaimed Los Angeles cabaret to New York City and DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (346 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/). Mr. Marx presents an evening of songs about falling in and out of love - "Wet Night... Dry Martini. Love: Shakin... Stirred & On The Rocks" on March 16th at 7:00 and 9:15 pm. There is a $15 cover charge and a $10 food/drink minimum.

Directed by Kirby Tepper, Marx's show features songs about all aspects of love, from falling in love, breaking up, not wanting to hear the "L" word again, and then starting the whole process all over again. He will be singing not only the standards, but also contemporary songs from well-known composers and lyricists including Harold Arlen, Hoagy Carmichael, Rodgers & Hart, Stephen Sondheim, and George Gershwin.

Nowadays Marx has been lending his vocal talents to the popular television series Celebrity Justice. He also can be heard singing on the holiday classic, Rugrats Christmas Special. Prior to starring on As The World Turns, Marx starred for three years as David Banning on Days Of Our Lives, as well as the NBC mini-series, The Secrets of Lake Success, and in episodes of Civil Wars, Doogie Howser, MD, and Hotel. Television and radio audiences will also recognize Marx's voice from hundreds of television and radio commercials including Ross Dress For Less, Lincoln Mercury vehicles and USA's Crime Friday. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Marx's grandfather and grand-uncles are the famous Marx brothers.
