Carr-Kaffashan Sings Favorites at Odette's
On
Friday & Saturday, April 30th & May 1st, Lucille Carr-Kaffashan celebrates
her fourth consecutive year performing at THE CABARET at Odette's
(South River Road, New Hope, PA - 215-862-3000 - http://www.bobegan.net/Odettes.html)
with a very special show entitled "Favorites, Old and New." Along
with musical director and accompanist, David Brunetti, she has selected
a sampling of songs that were audience favorites from each of four
previous cabaret shows. In addition to these "old favorites", Lucille
will perform some of her "new favorites" - a preview of songs that
will be included in a brand new show opening later this year.Both
shows are at 8 p.m., and dinner is available before or after the show.
There is a $16.50 music charge, and a $10 food/drink minimum. Reservations
are necessary.
"Favorites,
Old and New" includes an eclectic mix of standard and contemporary
songs, featuring works by George & Ira Gershwin, Comden & Green, Jacques
Brel, Bricusse & Mancini, Peggy Lee, Kander & Ebb, Joni Mitchell,
Hoagy Carmichael, and Lennon & McCartney.
Lucille performed
for many years in regional theater productions before developing her
first cabaret act. Since 1999, she has presented four different cabaret
shows in New York City, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and has performed
in a number of cabaret venues including Don't Tell Mama, The West
Bank Cafe, Regents, The Meadows, and Odette's.
The Cabaret at Odette's
was named as one of the "ten great places to come to the cabaret"
by USA Today. Odette's is celebrating its 17th season with a newly
renovated cabaret room and a brand new light and sound system.
