JUDY KRESTON & DAVID LAHM CELEBRATE DOROTHY FIELDS IN MICHIGAN

This summer, Judy Kreston and David Lahm will debut a new show entitled "I Can't Give You Anything but the Lyrics of Dorothy Fields" at the ACORN THEATER (107 Generations Drive, Three Oaks, MI - 269-756-3879 - http://www.acorntheater.com/ ). The show will include all of Dorothy Fields' major hits plus some songs and stories which may be unfamiliar. Performances are scheduled for 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, August 20th & 21st. Tickets are $15.

On June 1, 2004, Judy Kreston and David Lahm celebrated their musical partnership of twenty-four years, as well as almost fourteen years as husband and wife. Kreston, daughter of eminent concert pianist Gitta Gradova, and Lahm, son of Tony and Academy Award winning lyricist Dorothy Fields, are among the brightest talents on the turbulent scene known as New York City cabaret. They command a faithful audience that has thrilled to countless evenings of memorable music - songs and medleys that are amorous, dynamic, thoughtful, funny, sweet or sad. Their latest CD, "Medleyfyin'-A Unique Tribute to Richard Rodgers" will be available from LML Records in July.

July 15, 2004, marked the start of the centennial year of the birth of Dorothy Fields, one of the major songwriters of the twentieth century. She is known for the lyrics to songs such as "I'm in the Mood for Love", "Exactly Like You", "On the Sunny Side of the Street" and "I Can't Give You Anything but Love"; for the book to Irving Berlin's "Annie Get Your Gun" (in collaboration with her brother Herbert Fields) and for the lyrics to Broadway musicals including "Redhead", "Sweet Charity" and "Seesaw".
