CANBERRA DEBUT OF KEITH THOMPSON'S HIT NY REVUE

CABARET HEADLINERS at the National Press Club (16 National Circuit, Barton ACT, AU - 6273 3644 - http://www.npc.org.au/cabaret.htm) is proud to present an all-star cast performing Keith Thompson's hit NY revue, Kooky Tunes on Saturdays, Aptil 24th & May 1st at 7:00 pm. The show is the newest, wildest, silliest, offBroadway revue from New York writer Keith Thompson, direct from it's smash hit Australian Premiere season at KABARETT VOLTAIRE in Sydney. 3 course dinner/show, members $55, guests $65.

With David Hawkins directing and Ross Coleman providing the Kooky Steps, and an amazing cast, all outstanding solo music theatre/cabaret artists in their own right: Sharon Millerchip (Belle in Beauty & the Beast, Velma in Chicago), Andrew Benson (Aunty Mavis), Eddie Perfect (Melbourne Cabaret/Comedy sensation) and Kaye Tuckerman (The Boy From Oz, Les Miserables, Buddy), and with one of Australia's leading musical directors Greg Crease on the piano, Kooky Tunes is an entertainment experience not to be missed.

Kooky Tunes started life in 1998 at Eighty Eights in NYC's Greenwich Village and ran several seasons before transferring to the Laurie Beecham Theatre (Off-Broadway) for a sell-out run. But the Kooky impact was yet to hit its major audience! After the events of September 11th profoundly affected everyone in New York, Keith Thompson started getting many requests to revive the show. The show opened in the main room at Don't Tell Mamma's and played for several sell-out seasons and was picked up by Jay Records for a cast recording in 2002.

Now it's Canberra's turn to laugh our cares away with a Kooky Kabarett bent! The show takes its audience on a fun, light-hearted journey through a series of characters and songs, with a true wacky and Kooky Manhattan flair.
