Piano Bar Lunatics Invade Key West for Fantasy Fest!
"The Piano Bar Party" featuring Bobby Peaco at the
piano, George Sanders, Shawn Curran, and the irrepressible "Sneaky
Snake" will play for two nights only, Wednesday October 27th and Thursday
October 28th at 9:00 pm at UPSTAIRS AT MANGOES (700 Duval Street,
Key West, FL - 305-292-4606 x12). The show in the 27th is a Benefit
Night with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Bahama Village
Music Program, and tickets are $50. On the 28th tickets cost $25.
This insane bunch literally improvises the hour-and-a-half
evening in the "anything goes" piano-bar style that has become so
popular with people from all over the world. More than a "show," it
can only be called an "experience." Expect to hear some great singing,
see some outrageous costumes, and harmonize along with some of your
favorite tunes from Standards to Pop to Broadway. (They take requests,
too!)
The BAHAMA VILLAGE MUSIC PROGRAM (727 Fort Street,
Key West, FL - 305-292-9628) (BVMP) offers year-round music instruction
in piano, violin, drums, clarinet, guitar and voice. The program is
open to Key West children ages 6 - 12. Teenage music students and
professional musicians serve as teachers and mentors to their young
students.
