Gillett & Vaughan One Night Only at Mama Rose's

Broadway and Cabaret Veterans Eric Michael Gillett and Melanie Vaughan will be presenting a special two-performance, one-night only, engagement of It Takes Two - Together Again at New Nork's hippest new cabaret room, MAMA ROSE'S (219 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-533-0558 - http://www.mamaroses.net/). The shows will be performed on Monday, March 22nd at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. At the piano will be their longtime musical director and collaborator, Phil Fortenberry. Music charge is $15 with a 2-drink minimum. For CABARET HOTLINE MEMBERS only there will be discounted music charge of $12. Reservations for this one-night only event are highly recommended.

Gillett & Vaughan, who were acclaimed for their evening of Sondheim duets and their tribute to the Duets of the Silver Screen, will encore numbers from both shows, as well as several new songs from their more recent theater projects, including Imaginary Friends, Sweet Smell Of Success, and the upcoming Bagdad Cafe.

Eric Michael Gillett has appeared on Broadway in Kiss Me, Kate and Sweet Smell of Success and will be a part of the new Lincoln Center Production of Stephen Sondheim's The Frogs. Currently, he is in previews for the new off-Broadway play, Silent Laughter at the Lamb's Theatre. His most recent New York appearances have included the starring role in Dream a Little Dream at the Village Theatre, 'Richard' in The Tutor at the York Theatre, and Michael Feinstein's Burton Lane tribute at Carnegie Hall.

Melanie Vaughan has originated roles in ten Broadway shows, including Parade, On The Twentieth Century, and The Most Happy Fella (revival). She appeared there most recently in the Marvin Hamlisch/Craig Carnelia/Nora Ephron 'Playsical,' Imaginary Friends. Melanie is currently preparing for her starring role in the new musical version of the hit film, Bagdad Cafe, which she will perform in Barcelona this summer.
