DE ROY & FRIENDS THE LAST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT DILLON'S
Celebrated
cabaret performer Jamie deRoy brings her MAC Award-winning variety
show, Jamie deRoy & friends, to DILLON'S (245 West 54th Street, NYC
- 212-307-9797) the last Tuesday of every month now through May with
performances on February 24th, March 30th, April 28th, and May 25th
at 8:00 pm. The colorful cabaret series, which has been thrilling
New York City audiences for the past 13 years and serves as the basis
for deRoy's award-winning cable television show, spotlights a wide
variety of well-known entertainers and newcomers lighting up the cabaret,
theater, and comedy worlds. Barry Kleinbort is director of Jamie deRoy
& friends. Lanny Meyers is musical director. Tickets for Jamie deRoy
& friends include a $20 cover charge, plus a $12 food and/or beverage

The series
begins on a high note on February 24th with a special performance
by cabaret legend Sylvia McNair, a two-time Grammy Award winner who
boasts more than 70 recordings and has performed at such renowned
venues as the Metropolitan Opera House, Carnegie Hall, and the Algonquin's
Oak Room. The show also features the Back Stage Bistro Award-winning
musical comedy group Modern Man, comic Joe Bronzi, singer and humorist
Ray Jessel, multi-award-winning comedian Angela LaGreca, Broadway
actor Sal Viviano, and singer/recording artist Sara Zahn.
Guests for
the March 30th performance include comics Ross Bennett, Gemini, Judy
Gold, singer/actresses Brooke Sunny Moriber and Erin Quill, "Avenue
Q" creators Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez, and Australian newcomer Shaun
Rennie.
On April
27th, the talented line-up includes Jim Caruso, Corky Hale, comics
Lisa Harmon and Demetri Martin, and singers Adriana Zapala and Ruben
Flores.
Singers Dorothy
Bishop, Debbie DeCoudreaux, Anne Steele and comic Joey Callaghan are
among the performers scheduled to appear in the May 25th show.
Jamie deRoy
is a celebrated comedienne, singer, cabaret performer, actress, producer,
and talk show host. Winner of seven MAC Awards, deRoy has been running
her critically-acclaimed variety show, Jamie deRoy & friends, for
the past thirteen years at clubs in New York, Los Angeles, and Hilton
Head Island. Her first CD, Jamie deRoy & friends: The Child in Me,
Volume 1, won the 2000 MAC Award for Recording of the Year. Jamie
deRoy & friends: Volume 2: The Child in Me was released in November
2000 with a fundraiser benefiting Variety: The Children's Charity.
Jamie deRoy & friends: 'Tis the Season, Volume 3, winner of the 2002
MAC Award for Recording of the Year, became an instant holiday favorite
upon its release in December 2001. Her fourth album, Jamie deRoy &
friends: Family, was released in December 2002. Her latest CD, Jamie
deRoy & friends: Animal Tracks, was released by Harbinger Records
in December 2003, with proceeds benefiting The Humane Society. In
addition to her distinctive performing career, deRoy is also an established
producer whose credits include Channel Thirteen's Emmy Award-winning
City Arts series and numerous Telly Awards for her popular cable TV
show.
