Concert for NJ Aids Benefit Committee
The
Aids Benefit Committee of New Jersey proudly announces its first benefit
concert, "John De Marco Sings Mel Torme" at the NEW JERSEY PERFORMING
ARTS CENTER (One Center Street, Newark, NJ - 888-466-5722 - http://www.njpac.org/
) on Saturday, May 15th at 7:30 pm. John De Marco's guest stars will
be singer Richard Skipper and comedian-singer Angela LaGreca. Coldwell
Banker Residential of NJ and Rockland County, New York is sponsoring
the evening. doors open at 7:00pm. Food, cocktails and beverages are
available. Tickets are $75. Proceeds from this event go to Aids Benefit
Committee of New Jersey.
A lead singer
for the Follies Bergere in Paris for many years, John De Marco returned
to the United States to perform in New York, Las Vegas and Miami.
John De Marco has recently performed to rave reviews at Danny's Skylight
Room and Judy's Chelsea in New York City and is known to many as passionate
singer that brings "heart, warmth sound to every lyric", John Hoagland,
Backstage.
Joining John
De Marco at NJPAC will be Richard Skipper, two-time winner of the
Manhattan Association of Cabaret's MAC Award. Richard Skipper performs
an amazing tribute to Carol Channing and has appeared with Carol Channing
at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Also appearing is comedian-singer
Angela LaGreca. Angela LaGreca has won six MAC Awards in three categories
including Outstanding Comedian, Musical Comedy Performer and Variety
Show. Angela LaGreca televsion appearances include The View, Lifetime's
Girls Night Out, and Good Day New York.
