"A FOREIGN AFFAIR WITH BADOMI DE CESARE" AT HELEN'S

Singer Badomi De Cesare, has been invited to reopen her all new show called "A Foreign Affair With Badomi De Cesare" at the HELEN'S RESTAURANT, CABARET & PIANO LOUNGE (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-206-0609) after appearing at Danny's Skylight Room in April. The show will play eight performances only: Thursdays & Fridays, June 3rd & 4th, 10th & 11th, 17th & 18th, and 24th & 25th at 9:00 pm. It features songs about that most foreign of experiences - love, and includes homage to two gals who knew all about love and romance: Marlene Dietrich and Mae West. She will be accompanied by seven musicians, including Music Director Joe Kerr, Skip Krevens, Bob Mastro, Dave Hofstra, Aaron Boyd, Larry Eagle and Dennis Joseph. There will be a $15 Cover Charge and a $15 food and/or drink minimum.

Badomi returned to the New York club scene after a twenty-one year absence to Judy's Chelsea in the fall of 2001. She has appeared every spring since, most recently at Danny's. She began her career as part of the Charles Ludlam's Ridiculous Theatre Company and then Jeff Weiss's El Coyote group. She conceived and starred in a one-woman musical play called "Kiss Me, Kill Me." She played outstanding engagements at The Ballroom and the West Bank Cafe, then was brought to Paris, where she appeared at the Palais DeGlace, and later in Amsterdam at the famed De Ijbreker.

But fate would have other plans for her. She met an international financier in Paris, they fell in love, and she left show business for him. They lived in Paris, Switzerland, Ireland, London, Budapest and finally Bermuda. But when the love of her life passed away, after eleven years of marriage, she decided to return to the place that has always been her first love, New York, and its clubs. Her CD of last year's act, "Almost Texas," is now available at Footlight Records.
