The
2004 MAC Award-nominated comedy revue NOT ME returns for one night
only on Wednesday, April 28th at 7:00 pm atTHE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE

). NOT ME is comprised of the original songs of Hector Coris and Paul
L. Johnson. Assisted by the adorable and talented Tripp Pettigrew
and Mickey Toogood, Hector explores the conundrum of cabaret celebrity,
the pressures of gay life, love and sex and the after-life. There
is a $10 cover, 2-drink minimum. $5 cover for MAC & CABARET HOTLINE
ONLINE MEMBERS.
In the evening's
tour-de-force tune "A Soprano's Life For Me", Mr. Coris schizophrenically
delves into his inner diva. The revue also features the 2004 Outstanding
Special Material MAC Award-nominated tune "In Heaven (They Sing Nothing
But Showtunes)" which recently brought the house down at the March
24th MAC/ASCAP Showcase. NOT ME was originally directed by Collette
Black with musical direction and arrangements by Paul L. Johnson.
Hector Coris
has been a regular presence on the NYC cabaret scene for quite some
time, having appeared in Rick Crom's 1999 MAC and BISTRO Award-winning
revue OUR LIFE & TIMES and Rene Foss' wildly popular and acclaimed
musical comedy revue AROUND THE WORLD IN A BAD MOOD. He has also appeared
at The Duplex, Don't Tell Mama, The Triad and Upstairs At Rose's Turn.
His theatre background includes leading roles in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN,
CHARLIE BROWN (Broadway edition), THE WIZ and ANNIE.
NOT ME was
