HOT JAZZ STANDARDS and BLUES IN SAN FRANCISCO

ON Saturday, September 25th, Christopher Copeland will present HOT JAZZ STANDARDS and BLUES at ORIGINAL JOE'S CABARET (144 Taylor Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-775-5146). Once again Mr. Copeland has put together a great line-up of entertainers to send you on your musical journey, with Ben Marcato, Linda Da Re, Erika Bowman, Michael Woo, Tory Agardi, and Jonathan Poretz, with K.C. on the piano, Jeff Neighbor on the Bass, and John Brinck on the Drums. David Carillo will be Master of Ceremonies. Richard Stewart on Sound and Lighting. Showtime will be 8:30 pm with doors opening at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $25 at the door (includes 2 drinks). Dinner available by separate reservation.

In the cast:

Ben Marcato, singer, songwriter, guitarist, and bandleader was born and raised in Cincinnati, came to the Bay Area in 1993 to persue his music career. Ben and his band Mondo Combo has performed throughtout the Bay Area and has released 5 CD's. Has also been featured in ABC's Good Morning America.

Linda Da Re, singer and entertainer had her musical training at the University of Main. She also studied with the late Judy Davis. She has thrilled audiences in other Christopher Copeland musical revues.

Erika Bowman, a New York native, has performed in such well known clubs as Cafe Wa, Birdland, and The Village Underground. She has also appeared in roles in musical theather productions of The Wiz and The Life.

Michael Woo, is a Bay Area native who has been singing since a very early age. He was selected to the UCLA's vocal program out of 2,500 applications. This classically trained, lyric tenor also received a Sony Records, Virgin Records and a Korean Label recording contract. Lately he made Top 25 in the Fox Television local contest of Gimme The Mike.

Tory Agardi, has been performing in Bay Area musical theater and Operetta productions for over 20 years, in title roles in shows like My Fair Lady, Auntie Mame, Nunsense, HMS Pinafore and many others. She studied acting and theather at ACT, and vocal technique with Judy Davis.

Jonathan Poretz, can be heard locally in many venues. He is a singer of jazz standards; mostly influenced by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme and Bobby Darrin. He is featured singer with The Starduster Orchestra and the Joe Agro Sextet, and other bands and trios performing throughout the Bay Area.
