Stacy Lee Tilton appearing at The Players Theatre, Long Beach, CA-

Stacy Lee Tilton, a charismatic mezzo soprano with a rich and soulful voice, brings her acclaimed show "Midway Point" to THE PLAYERS THEATRE (California State University Theatre Arts Building (East Campus Drive off of East 7th Street, Long Beach, CA - 562-985-5526) on Saturday, September 6th at 8:00 pm and Sunday, September 7th at 3:00 pm. Under the direction of Thomas Mills and David Brunetti, Stacy Lee Tilton performs songs by John Kander & Fred Ebb, Jason Robert Brown, Tom Lehrer, Alan Menken & David Spencer, Brian Lasser, Maury Yeston, Stephen Flaherty & Lynn Ahrens, Paula Cole, Indigo Girls and various others. Tickets are $18 Adults/$12 Seniors (available after August 24th).

In the show, Ms. Tilton combines her uncanny sense of comic timing with a conviction to plumb the emotional depths of her characters. "Midway Point" reveals the lives of a group of women, the carousels of their patterns, the emotional roller coasters they face and the dizzying choices available to them in the midway.

Ms. Tilton made her solo debut in New York City with "Midway Point" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) in 1999, with encore engagements in 2000 and 2001, plus a Spring 2003 engagement at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) ® all to critical acclaim.

A native of California, she has been performing in New York City, regionally and internationally since moving to the East Coast in 1991. Before making her solo debut, she has been featured in several cabarets in New York City. She has performed at The Supper Club (Reflections "Secret of Life"), the Green Room ("Closer Than Ever"), and Don't Tell Mama ("Midway Point," "My Best To You," "B-Sides" and "Dances Without Wolves").

Ms. Tilton made her Broadway debut opposite Brent Barrett in the role of Jane Ashton in New York City Opera's production of "Brigadoon" (directed by Christian Smith). She ended the century taking home the New Jersey Perry Award for outstanding leading actress in a musical for her performance as the Witch in "Into the Woods" at the Civic Theater of Hudson County. Ms. Tilton holds a BA in acting and directing from California State University Long Beach and trained for two years at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ms. Tilton is also on the faculty as teacher and director at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
