"The
Boy Who Knew Everything" is Back in Town
Cabaret show returns
to Melbourne after sellout season.
"The Boy Who Knew Everything,"
returns to CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL (12 Little Chapel Street, Prahran, Melbourne,
AUS - Bookings 03-8290-7000) Thursday through Sunday, January 22nd
through 26th as a part of the "Midsumma Festival" following a sellout
season in August 2002. Loosely based on the experience of Sydney writer/performer
Andrew Threlfall, the show is about growing up as a geek. Through
song and monologue, it follows the journey of one boy from the classroom
to the club scene as he tries to work out what life's really about
- and why nobody's written a decent instruction manual. All shows
are at 9:00 pm. Admission is $18.
"The Boy Who Knew Everything"
is also a diverse musical journey, covering traditional cabaret &
musical theatre material, but also branching out into Jazz, Opera
and even bimbo pop. The show has also just completed another successful
run at Sydney's SBW Stables Theatre.
A lot has happened since
Threlfall's cabaret debut a little over a year ago. The 24-year-old
Theatre Nepean graduate has added a range of credits to his resume,
including comedy, musical theatre/cabaret and even a role in a Shakespeare.
Threlfall has also received a grant from Sydney's Oliver Oram Artistic
Trust and sung for the Sydney Theatre Company.
