STEVEN SANTORO AT THE KING KONG ROOM

Singer/songwriter Steven Santoro and his band bring an evening of jazz, pop and "neo-soul" to KING KONG ROOM at the Supper Club (240 West 47th Street, NYC - 1-212-921-1904 - http://www.KingKongRoom.com/) for one night only, July 21st, at 8:30 pm. There is a $15 cover and a $15 food/beverage minimum.

Mr. Santoro, formerly known as Steven Kowalczyk, hails from Boston with a degree in African-American Music and Jazz from the University of Massachusetts, but there's nothing of the college egghead about him. He is a blues-pop-jazz performer with soulful intensity and an impeccable sense of swing. While signed with Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun produced his first recording, "Moods and Grooves," which rose to #20 on the Jazz Radio Charts in the USA and #1 on United Kingdom's Jazz FM Radio. His second recording, "Soul Of The Night," has not yet been released, but has drawn thousands of listeners on http://www.MP3.com/. He is currently on faculty at the famed Berklee College of Music where he teaches Voice and Performance.

Steven will be performing original material from his two CDs, plus some new material, which is taking on a Soul flavor. Joining him onstage will be Etienne Lytle on piano, Marc Ciprut on guitar and Peter Hartman on bass.
