Steve Ross in "An American in Paris" at Stanhope

The City of Light Illuminates the Upper East Side

Debonair New York City performer Steve Ross' continued engagement at STANHOPE PARK HYATT NEW YORK (995 Fifth Avenue, NYC - 212-650-4737) begins Tuesday March 4th and runs through Saturday May 17th. Ross' return to the supper club signals a continued interest in classic popular music that has stood the test of time. Performances begin at 8:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, (dinner required) with late evening shows beginning at 10:30 pm Friday and Saturday ($25 food and beverage minimum). A $40 cover charge accompanies each show.

In this show, Mr. Ross bridges the Atlantic, connecting the Upper East Side with Paris, France. In "An American in Paris" he combines the marvelous French inspired song writing of great American composers Cole Porter, Oscar Hammerstein, and Jerome Kern with tributes to unforgettable performers Edith Piaf and Maurice Chevalier. "April in Paris," "The Last Time I saw Paris," "Can-Can" and "I Love Paris" are among the melodies that will fill the air.

Giving this performance an even stronger French ambience will be Ross' interpretations of Paris-based writers Charles Trenet and Jacques Brel.

Built in 1926 by architect Rosario Candela, The Stanhope Park Hyatt New York has been restored to its original beauty since becoming a Park Hyatt in 1999. The internationally renowned Stanhope Park Hyatt New York is the jewel of Fifth Avenue and is situated directly across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and only steps away from Central Park. Known for its gracious and attentive service and close proximity to the finest shops and art galleries, the 185-room Stanhope Park Hyatt New York was designed in the tradition of intimate European luxury.
