Judy
Rosan in "Once in a Lifetime" at DANNY'S
Judy
Rosan will present her show "Once in a Lifetime", with a New York
debut at 7 P.M. Thursday, evenings, April 24th and May 1st, 2003 at
DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133
- http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/).
Reflecting the theme "Songs that make you happy, Songs that make you
sad, But most of all - Songs that make you glad", Judy will sing a
medley of captivating numbers about the joys, as well as heart rending
relationships, with different types of men. Her show is directed by
Vicky Stuart, a veteran performer and singer, and she will be accompanied
by Ralph Barnes on piano and Mark Wade on Bass. Cover is $12.00 plus
a $10 food/drink minimum.
The song list includes
Rodgers & Hart favorites such as "Ten Cents a Dance", one of Edie
Gorme's featured numbers "Guess Who I Saw Today" by Boyd & Grand,
and a blissful love song by Peggy Lee. A slim and sophisticated lady,
Judy Rosan seems to be just "made for cabaret". Though trained in
music and piano at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and flirting
with opera, she always yearned to be a popular singer. Judy has polished
her technique and gained an appealing poise for cabaret with recent
study at The Singer's Forum, and is presenting a selection that should
appeal to the emotions of all of us.
This is the first of what
Judy hopes to be many appearances on the New York cabaret scene.
