"ROMANCE LANGUAGE" Cabaret in Milwaukee

Two busy Milwaukee-based cabaret performers join with two Chicago compatriots to present "Romance Language," a one-of-a-kind cabaret soiree at THE ITALIAN COMMUNITY CENTER (631 East Chicago Avenue, Milwaukee, WI - 414-223-2185) at 9:30 pm on Friday evening, September 12th. Singer/pianist Carolyn Wehner and vocalist Jeanne Scherkenbach, who both call Milwaukee home (while often found serenading audiences in Chicago, New York and elsewhere), will share the bill that evening with Chicago-based singer Claudia Hommel and singer/pianist Bob Moreen. Seating for optional dinner ($6 - $18), dessert and/or drinks begins at 8:30 pm with performance at 9:30 pm. There is a $12 music charge.

"Romance Language" celebrates love and lust - from Piaf to Porter, from Neapolitans to American cosmopolitans. Singer Carolyn Wehner's lyrical piano is joined by singer/pianist Bob Moreen, singer Jeanne Scherkenbach and Claudia Hommel. Musical selections will range from opera to jazz, chansons to classic torch songs, all chosen to set the universal je-ne-sais-quoi of romance to music.
