Lynne
Robinson makes her solo cabaret debut at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342
West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/)
in "More Than 16 Bars!!" an evening of full length songs. Jerry Scott
is musical director, Andy Praskai is director and Haila Strauss provides
additional staging. Two shows are scheduled for Tuesday, September
16th at 7 pm and Sunday, October 5th at 2:00 pm. There is a $12 cover,
$10 food/drink minimum. $6 cover for MAC & CABARET

While working
with Jerry Scott on audition material, Ms. Robinson realized that
she wanted to sing more than 16 bars and a show was born. Covering
an eclectic range of composers, "16 bars" reflects her love of performing
while incorporating some of the interesting characters that have influenced
her choice of memorable and timeless songs.
Musical director
Jerry Scott has received both the MAC and BISTRO awards for best piano-bar
performer as well as the Critics' Choice Lifetime Achievement award
for excellence in piano-bar performance. Jerry recently completed
his fifth album, "Jerry Scott ... With a Little Help From My Friends,"
which received both MAC and BISTRO awards. He has appeared all over
the world, performed for President & Hillary Clinton and has appeared
on ABC's "The View." He can currently be heard at DANNY'S BROADWAY
PIANO BAR Thursdays through Saturdays, and the STONEWALL BISTRO on
Wednesdays at 7:30 pm.
Director
Andy Praskai is a partner/creative director at Walnut Park Productions,
a New York-based film and video production company. In his 22 years
as director, writer and producer, he has worked on a wide range of
projects that include: feature films, documentaries, television commercials,
public service announcements and television sports programming. He
also produced the critically acclaimed musical comedy revue "That's
My New York!" and the 2003 award-winning CD "Jerry Scott ... With
a Little Help From My Friends."
Haila Strauss
has choreographed over 100 productions for the musical theatre and
concert stage, including work for the Roundabout Theatre, TheatreWorks,
The Alliance Theatre, T. Schreiber Studio and at Marymount Manhattan
College. She is founder and director of The Special Dance Movement
Workshop for actors and singers (212-388-7967) and she coaches actors
and singers in dance, movement and musical staging for auditions and
performance. Ms. Strauss co-chairs the Musical Theater Program at
Marymount Manhattan College.
