Summer Cabaret at River Walk at the Oxo Tower, London

This Summer RIVER WALK RESTAURANT (2nd Floor, Oxo Tower Wharf, London - 020 7928 2884 - http://www.riverwalk.co.uk/) in association with Ian Mowat IMP and Cahoots is throwing open it's doors to the cream of London Cabaret every Sunday, starting on the 20th of July. Set on the Banks of the Thames in the famous Oxo Tower, River Walk with St Paul's Cathedral in the background and the panoramic views of London is the stunning new venue to host some of the best Cabaret in the City. The doors open at 6:00 pm for drinks and food. Dinner will be available (optional) and the club will also be serving Mediterranean and Oriental Sharing Platters and Bar Snacks. The Cabaret show starts at 8:00 pm.

Sunday, July 20th: Grainne and Lizzy Renihan

Two of musical theatre's most successful sisters, promise to kick off the season with their big voices and big personalities! Grainne has been a leading lady in most of London's best-loved musicals and Lizzy has been a member of The Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Theatre. They bring their uproarious cabaret to River Walk with music ranging from Bernstein to Bacharach and Stiles to Sondheim. This outrageous due sold out at Ronnie Scott's, Dulwich Picture Gallery and Belair House so book early.

Sunday, July 27th: John Barr

John Barr has presented his Cabaret shows in London, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Venice, Sydney and on the QE2. John has been perfecting his art over the years since his debut in Oliver as a very young man and now moves easily between stage and cabaret in the UK and the USA. John has performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the BBC Big Band. He has recorded 4 Solo CDs: "A Small Affair," "In Whatever Time We Have,"" A Different Corner" and "Anything Can Happen." Sunday, August 3rd: Simon Green

Simon Green and his musical director David Shrubsole present their new cabaret, which incorporates an eclectic selection of lyrics, music and poetry from some of the great names of the twentieth century. Their first cabaret originated at the Pizza on the Park and went on to play a sell-out season at New York's celebrated FireBird Cafe. In summer 2000 he and David were invited to perform it at Carnegie Hall following Simon's debut there in the Noel Coward centennial gala. Since then it has played many venues up and down this country. Simon's most recent recording was the Radio 3 Christmas concert 2003 with Kim Criswell, a celebration of the music of Irving Berlin.

Sunday, August 10th: Alison Jiear

Hot foot from her lead role of 'Shawntel' in the smash hit "Jerry Springer, the Opera" at the Royal National Theatre, soaring songbird Alison Jiear gives us an evening of music in her own inimitable style. Well known on the cabaret circuit both as a solo performer and also as part of "The Fabulous Singlettes." Combining careers in radio, television and theatre Alison leaves no stone unturned. Alison has released two CDs: "Simply" and her most recent release now available is "Forgiveness Embrace," both on the Dress Circle label at http://www.dresscircle.com/.

Sunday, August 17th: Liza Sadovy

Liza Sadovy has sung in many London Sondheim productions, including "Company," "Into The Woods" and "Side By Side By Sondheim." Mike Haslam is a seasoned and well-respected Musical Director and pianist. Together they present a personal selection of this extraordinary composer's songs. Sondheim is serious. And he's seriously funny. With wit and passion he tackles the delicate conundrum of what it is to be human. His song are by turns dark and hilarious, frightening and silly.

Sunday, August 24th: Sian Phillips

Sian Phillips made her singing debut in the West End revival of "Pal Joey." In constant demand as an actress for stage, television and film she has also played leading roles in several West End musicals. Most recently she portrayed Marlene Dietrich in Pam Gems' musical play "Marlene" which later transferred to Broadway and for which she received both Olivier and Tony award nominations. Sian has two BAFTA nominations, a New York Critics' award, a Royal Television Society Award, a BAFTA Lifetime Achievement award and a CBE for her services to drama. Among a clutch of international nominations and awards Sian is the holder of a CBE for her services to drama. In her solo cabaret Sian is accompanied by Kevin Amos.

Sunday, August 31st: Ian Shaw

After a stint in one of England's most popular soul bands of the late eighties Brave New World, Ian Shaw settled into his identity as a jazz singer, appearing regularly at Ronnie Scott's. Nominated two years running for Best Jazz Vocalist at the BBC Jazz Awards, Ian has recorded 8 highly acclaimed solo albums. This year has seen Ian on a National Tour with the world-famous Brodsky String Quartet. The Brodsky Song Album (Challenge Records) featuring Ian alongside Sting, Elvis Costello, Bjork, Paul McCartney and Jacqui Dankworth was released in June. See http://www.ianshaw.biz/.

Sunday, September 7th: Kit and the Widow

Kit and The Widow are two men and a piano. If you like Tom Lehrer, Victor Borge, Fascinating Aida, Flanders and Swann or Anna Russell chances are you'll like them. Sunday, September 14th and Monday September 15th: Sally Mayes

Sally's Broadway credits include "Welcome to the Club," "She Loves Me" and "Urban Cowboy" and Off-Broadway the hit revue "Closer Than Ever" and "Das Barbecue" and "Pete 'n' Keeley." Sally's rare and much anticipated nightclub appearances have garnered her rave reviews from New York to Los Angeles. Sunday, September 21st: Sally Burgess

This singer, who offers a versatility and diversity of styles unsurpassed by any other British artist today, has sung "Carmen" at The Met and world wide, was nominated for "Best Actress in a Musical" Olivier Award in "Showboat." She has made 3 jazz albums. Her new show "Harold Arlen - Who?" will open at the Barbican for 10 performances in November. See http://www.operajazz.co.uk/.

Sunday, September 28th: Clive Carter

Clive's theatre work covers the gamut of the profession, as Actor, Director, and Producer. From "Phantom" to "Les Mis'," Shaw to Shakespeare, Sondheim to We Will Rock You. He has been nominated for an Olivier Award and his work has taken him both sides of the Atlantic. This one man show takes you through some of those travels and includes some surprising guests. Accompanied by Kevin Amos at the piano.
