OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT OF SAN FRANCISCO'S PLUSH ROOM
DEDICATED
TO CONTINUING ENTERTAINMENT STYLE AND FORMAT
The new owners
and management of THE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street,
San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.plushroom.com/)
have stated that they are in love with the great American songbook
and are committed to continuing the roster of local and national entertainers
who exemplify this genre of music.
Chris Rosas,
Executive Vice President and General Manager of The York Hotel, is
a partner in the new owning company comprised of Chris and his parents,
Trinidad and Catherine. A graduate of USF and familiar with San Francisco
and its entertainment, Chris is dedicating his company to improving
The York Hotel and along with that, the decor and comfort of The Plush
Room to enhance the guest experience.
Newly aboard
is David Rice who is Creative Director of The Plush Room. David's
experience locally as concierge at a top San Francisco hotel is augmented
by years in New York where he was Broadway and tour company manager
for Grease (revival), Showboat, Ragtime and Full Monty. David is responsible
for booking, marketing and all artistic decisions concerning the room.
The nightly
as well as day to day management of The Plush Room continues with
Deanna Gogol at the helm as Director of Operations. And, very important
to entertainers and the professionalism of all acts, Brian Morse who
has been responsible for sound and lights for 20 years, continues
in his position.
The Plush
Media team of Bill Lanese and Diane Shields continue to be press and
publicity representatives.
The entertainment
calendar through the end of February 2004 will continue as booked
with a terrific lineup. At that time, The Plush Room will be closed
for several months to allow for the seismic upgrading, redecorating
and cosmetic enhancements. The press and friends of The Plush Room
will be kept informed as to a re-opening date and the calendar of
performers will be announced for the remainder of 2004.
