Phillip Officer Salutes Burton Lane Mondays at KING KONG ROOM

Theater and cabaret performer Phillip Officer will salute Broadway and Hollywood composer, Burton Lane with "I Hear Music," in a month-long run, starting Sunday, August 3rd at 7:00 pm and continuing on Mondays (August 11th, 18th, & 25th) at KING KONG ROOM at the Supper Club (240 West 47th Street, NYC - 1-212-921-1904 - http://www.KingKongRoom.com/). The music charge is $20, plus a $15 beverage minimum. Reservations are required.

Burton Lane's impressive career spanned more than fifty years, collaborating with some of America's foremost lyricists (Alan Jay Lerner, E.Y. "Yip" Harburg and Frank Loesser) creating Broadway and film scores for On A Clear Day, Finian's Rainbow and Royal Wedding. Song selections spotlighted in the program will include classics like "Old Devil Moon," "Come Back To Me," "Too Late Now," and "Look To The Rainbow."

In the past several years, Officer has performed in Manhattan venues ranging from the world-famous Carnegie Hall to the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room to the Broadway stage in SIDE SHOW. His performances have earned him multiple Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs (MAC) Awards. Joining Phillip on stage will be Musical Director Dick Gallagher, composer of the award-winning Off-Broadway revue, "When Pigs Fly," and conductor for Patti LuPone.
