Quinn Lemley In THE HEAT IS ON!

A one-woman musical based on the life of Rita Hayworth

Sultry and sexy Quinn Lemley, who bears more than a passing resemblance to screen siren Rita Hayworth, turns up the heat as Miss Hayworth in THE HEAT IS ON! four Tuesdays at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/), June 10th, 17th & 24th and July 1st at 9:00 pm. Her show, a one woman theatre piece, chronicles the life, loves and career of Rita Hayworth and the Golden Age of Hollywood. It includes her illustrious marriages to Orson Welles, Prince Aly Khan and the turbulent relationship with movie mogul, Harry Cohn, head of Columbia Pictures. There will be a $20 cover charge & 2 Drink Minimum.

Lemley will be accompanied by her hot quartet including musical director, Ted Firth on piano, Karl Spicer on bass, Lee Jeffreys on drums and Marc MacDonald on alto sax. Written and directed by Carter Inskeep (ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE), the show features choreography and gowns by Michael Louis, orchestrations by Bob McDowell (SWINGTIME CANTEEN), production supervision by Preston Ridge, and lighting and sound by Shawn Moninger.

The show will present monologues about the life, loves and career of Miss Hayworth including classic songs from her films including "Put The Blame on Mame," "Amado Mio," "Long Ago and Far Away," "Zip" and "I'm Old Fashioned."

The Quinn Lemley Quintet recently performed at The Half Note in Athens, Greece and has played prominent New York clubs including Tavern On The Green, The Algonquin, and The FireBird. Ms. Lemley also has recorded four CDs including, "Dance or Die," "Sirens," "Cocktails With A Twist," and "The Heat Is On" all available in record stores.
