Judy
Kreston and David Lahm at DANNY'S
The
husband and wife duo, Judy Kreston and David Lahm, will star in a
cabaret evening celebrating the legendary musical talents of Anthony
Newley, Felicia Sanders, Dorothy Fields and Mr. Lahm entitled, "Anthony,
Felicia, Dorothy, David, and Me," at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West
46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/).
Directed by Richard Hendrickson, the show also features Tim Ferguson
on bass and Bobby Shankin on drums. Performances begin on Friday,
October 31st at 7:00 pm. Additional performances are on Friday, November
14th at 7:00 pm and Saturdays, November 22nd & 29th at 9:30 pm. There
is a cover charge of $20 with a $10 minimum.
Through the
years, Kreston and Lahm, owners of the recently closed JUDY'S CHELSEA,
a feted Manhattan cabaret mainstay, have delighted audiences with
their creative ingenuity and musical aplomb. "Anthony, Felicia, Dorothy,
David and Me" was developed from four highly-acclaimed shows that
Kreston and Lahm (on the piano) presented at Judy's. Musical numbers
will range from "Good Ole, Bad Old Days," by Anthony Newley to "I'm
All I've Got," by Felicia Sanders; and "Baby Dream Your Dream," by
Dorothy Fields to Lahm's own, "Never too Little."
David Lahm,
the son of the great Broadway /Hollywood lyricist and book writer
Dorothy Fields, is widely recognized as the official keeper of the
"Dorothy Fields" musical lexicon. This season alone, he is involved
with three shows readying for the stage, "Never Gonna Dance" with
lyrics by Fields, "Sweet Charity" with lyrics by Fields and "A Tree
Grows in Brooklyn" with lyrics by Fields.
