Kabaret to be Launched at Tatnuck Bookseller in August
Tatnuck Bookseller
and Blue Pumpkin Productions have joined in a new cooperative venture
- Cafe Kabaret at TATNUCK BOOKSELLER (335 Chandler Street, Worcester,
MA - 508-756-7644). A dining and entertainment package inside the
air-conditioned store, Cafe Kabaret will provide dinner and a vaudeville
cabaret revue on 3 Tuesdays in August, August 12th, 19th, and 26th.
Dinner seating is at 6:15 pm, with diners choosing among selected
entrees from this award-winning kitchen, plus soup or salad, dessert,
and coffee, tea or fountain drink. The vaudeville cabaret begins at
7:30 pm. Pricing for the package of dinner plus show: $36 per person.
Since seating is limited, early reservations are suggested.
On the three
Tuesdays in August, the 2 Vaudevillians will also be available to
sign copies of their recently released CD, "2 Vaudevillians Find Buried
Treasure."
Patrons will
choose from selected entree items on a special Cafe Kabaret dinner
menu; dinner will be followed by a performance of 2 Vaudevillians,
featuring Bill Taylor on piano and vocals, and Kelly Cassidy on vocals.
This show treats audiences to the great style of vaudeville songs
and comedy, from the familiar to little known comedic treasures.
Wayne Mello
and Blue Pumpkin's artistic director Marc P. Smith both look forward
to planning further entertainment offerings in future months in this
intimate space if response to this new venture is favorable. Tatnuck
Bookseller has earned a reputation as more than just a bookstore and
restaurant. Considered a community gathering spot to meet friends,
it is now also positioned to be a focus for the music and comedy styles
of cabaret entertainment.
