SONGS BY FEATURED IN JOURNEYS: a NEW MUSICal theatre celebration
Firsthand Theatre Project

will present "JOURNEYS: a NEW MUSICal theatre celebration," an event
showcasing the work of seven new musical theatre composers, Sundays
and Mondays April 14th through May 4th at 8:30 pm, UPSTAIRS AT ROSE'S
TURN (55 Grove Street, NYC - 212-366-5438).
JOURNEYS: a NEW MUSICal
theatre celebration will feature music by composers/lyricists Adam
Gwon, Brad Howell Houghton, Marci Karr & Mark Jackson, Thomas Mizer
& Curtis Moore, Adryan Russ (Inside Out, Cherry Lane), Jason Schafer
and Mike Shaieb & John Wimbs, Jr.
The evening of music
will be performed by six emerging singers in a combination of solos,
duets and ensemble numbers: Richard Todd Adams (Little Fish, Second
Stage), Eric Collins, Nora Edie, Lisa Howard (Les Miserables, National
Tour), Pearl Sun and Cullen R. Titmas. The series is directed by Christopher
Tulysewski. Musical Direction is by Rick Bertone.
Firsthand Theatre Project
focuses primarily on new works and aims to create a forum for early-career
theatre artists working towards their professional goals. Their inaugural
production, GENESIS: 7 Breakthrough Plays performed in September and
October 2002 at 78th Street Theatre Lab and showcased seven new short
plays by relatively unknown playwrights.
