RICK JENSEN PRESENTS "WHILE LOVE HOLDS ON" AT THE DUPLEX

Award winning singer/songwriter Rick Jensen returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/) for 4 Monday nights, July 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th at 7:00 pm. Steve Bargonetti is featured on guitar. Rick will be joined by Steve Bargonetti on guitar. There is a $15 cover charge and a 2-drink minimum.

Rick is the recipient of 2 GLAMA Awards, 2 Back Stage Bistro Awards, and is a 4-time MAC Award Winner. His critically acclaimed CD, SPRING HARVEST was nominated for a MAC Award for Outstanding Recording, and cited in the Village Voice as an album worthy of Grammy consideration. This engagement at the Duplex will feature new songs Rick has written in preparation for his next CD

As a singer/songwriter, Rick has appeared at many of New York's intimate music venues. He was featured at Weill Recital Hall, along with Michael Feinstein, in a tribute to Sammy Cahn. Other engagements include Town Hall, The FireBird Cafe, The Plush Room, The Gardenia, and recently in concert at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre in Washington DC.

One of the most talented and versatile musicians working today, Rick has also distinguished himself as a musical director and record producer. His work with cabaret legend Nancy LaMott lead to her definitive recording of Rick's classic song, "In Passing Years." Since then, under the umbrella of his production company, The Doctor is in Music, Rick has produced Jeanne MacDonald's CD, "COMPANY" (MAC Award nomination), Sean Hayden's CD "CONFIDENTIALLY COLE" (a ground breaking recording with evocative arrangements by Rick), and Barbara Fasano's CD, "THE GIRLS OF SUMMER" (recipient of the Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Recording.)
