Jade Esteban Estrada Receives "Timmy" Nomination

Latin Artist Nominated For Best Singer Of The Year At The 6th Annual Timmy Awards

Latin pop artist Jade Esteban Estrada has been nominated for Best Singer of the Year for the 6th ANNUAL TIMMY AWARDS. The awards ceremony is presented by the nationally distributed Talent in Motion Magazine and honors the finest in performing and visual arts in the entertainment industry. The ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26th at CAMI HALL (165 West 57th Street, NYC). The PREMIO ESTRELLA award-winning entertainer will also perform songs from his upcoming album.

Categories awarded will be photography, fashion, theatre, art, film, TV, writing, poetry and music. Talent in Motion Magazine is a quarterly arts and entertainment publication that addresses an industry where the worlds of fashion, film, art, music and New York nightlife converge.

Estrada's music can currently be heard on the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning police drama THE SHIELD. He is also a featured artist on the benefit CD "BEING OUT ROCKS" (Centaur). He will also give a special benefit performance of his hit one-man show "ICONS: THE LESBIAN AND GAY HISTORY OF THE WORLD, VOL. 1" at the Hetrick-Martin Institute (the high school for LGBTQ youth in NYC) in late April.

Estrada is presently directing "GIRLS AND BOYS TOGETHER" at the Milagro Theatre in New York City. The production is scheduled to open April 8th.

Jade was awarded the PREMIO ESTRELLA in October 2002 by LLEGO (the Washington DC-based LGBT Latino organization) at the 9th Annual Encuentro Awards in Miami for outstanding work and visibility in the entertainment industry. Urban Latino TV calls him "A 21st Century Oscar Wilde." He is featured in the April issue of TALENT IN MOTION MAGAZINE.
