Goldie Dver at The Duplex in "Woman On The Stage"

Goldie Dver, 2002 MAC Award winner, brings her new solo show, "Woman On The Stage" to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/), for four nights in October. Performances are Wednesdays, October 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th at 7:00 pm. "Woman on The Stage" also spotlights as guest star, multiple MAC Award winner, Lennie Watts. The show is directed by James Beaman. Additional direction for this production is by Mickey Coburn. Musical direction is by the multi-talented Tracy Stark, whose song, "Woman On The Stage" inspired the concept of this show. Joining them on stage will be bassist, Skip Ward. There is a $15 cover, 2-drink minimum. There is a $5 discount for CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE Members.

Interpreting fresh and original songs by Brian Lasser, Tracy Stark, Francesca Blumenthal and Drey Shepperd, among others, Ms. Dver explores the many challenges and contradictions that contemporary women encounter, even in our "enlightened society." Ms. Dver has developed into one of New York cabaret's most exciting new vocalists.

Goldie co-produced and starred in "Crazy World - Songs of Leslie Bricusse, " which won the 2002 MAC Award for Revue of the Year. Co-star, James Beaman, directed this new solo show. Along with being a veteran of the club circuit and performing in musical theatre, Goldie is a regular personality on The Joey Reynolds' Show "Jewish Hour," heard Friday nights on WOR-AM Radio.
