from cabaret's Brightest and Best!
THE

is once again proud to present DOWNTOWN REVIVALS on Sundays this July
in the famed cabaret space in the heart of New York's West Village.
All shows begin at 7:00 pm. Mark Nadler will present a special reprise
performance on the 27th at 9:30 pm. He will be performing "Tschaikowsky
(and Other Russians)" at both shows. There is a $12 cover, and a 2-drink
minimum.
DOWNTOWN REVIVALS was
designed with the idea of highlighting favorite performers who frequent
larger venues in special, one night only engagements. The series debuted
in June, 2002 to great success and sold-out houses, featuring cabaret
luminaries Natalie Douglas, Barbara Brussell, Quinn Lemley and John
Wallowitch. The series was revamped in September with Natalie Gamsu,
Lisa Asher, Amanda Green and Jeff Harnar, and again in December with
Barbara Fasano, Baby Jane Dexter, Jeanne MacDonald and Phillip Officer.
In March, 2003 the series included Lennie Watts and Scott Coulter,
Rick Jensen, Karen Mack and Teri Lynn Paul. On the schedule this July:
Sunday, July 6th -
Julie Johnson with Steve Barcus
Sunday, July 13th - BJ Crosby
Sunday, July 20 - Julie Gold
Sunday, July 27 - Mark Nadler (2 shows)
Julie
Johnson was last seen on Broadway in Hal Prince's "Candide." Broadway
veterans Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones developed the lead role in their
recent Off-Broadway production, "Roadside," specifically for Julie
after seeing her in the musical "Paper Moon" at Goodspeed Opera House.
She was also seen Off-Broadway in "Das Barbecue" and toured with the
Amanda McBroom musical, "Heartbeats." Last year, Julie played the
title role in a seven-week sold-out run of "A Closer Walk with Patsy
Cline" at the Granbury Opera House in Dallas. Ms. Johnson has amassed
millions of young fans by bringing a voice to the 3-year-old dinosaur
"Baby Bop" on the children's television series, Barney & Friends.
Cabaret fans will also remember Julie from many New York appearances
with RSVP: The Vocal Group.
BJ
Crosby most recently starred on Broadway as Mama Morton in "Chicago."

artists including Bette Midler, The Byrds, Judy Collins and Cliff
Richard. Other songs by Gold have been recorded by artists as diverse
as Nanci Griffith, Patti LuPone, Patti LaBelle, Kathie Lee Gifford,
Jewel and Jack Jones to name a few. The motion picture "Andre" featured
Gold's song, "Thanks to You." The motion picture "Unfaithful" featured
Gold's song, "Dream Loud," which has also become a favorite of the
Girls Scouts of America. Gold lives in Greenwich Village with two
cats, and serves on the Board of Governors for NARAS. She performs
and lectures throughout the country.
Mark Nadler starred in
and co-wrote the off-Broadway Gershwin revue, "American Rhapsody,"
which was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and two Lucille Lortel

and Cabarets (MAC) Award for Outstanding Musical Revue. Additionally,
Mark received the MAC award three years in a row for Outstanding Musical
Comedy Performer plus another, which he won in 1990. For his latest
