Natalie Douglas Debuts a New Show "TO NINA"

Critically acclaimed four-time MAC Award winner, Natalie Douglas, will appear at KING KONG ROOM at the Supper Club (240 West 47th Street, NYC - 1-212-921-1904 - http://www.KingKongRoom.com/), on Monday, October 6th at 8:30 pm with the debut of a brand new show, "TO NINA: A Tribute To Nina Simone." Ms. Douglas will be joined by her Musical Director, MAC Award Winner Mark Hartman on the piano, with Tony LaVorgna on alto sax and Steve Doyle on bass. There is a $20 cover with a $15 food/drink minimum

Dr. Simone was one of Natalie's principal influences, filling her early musical memories with the dignity, wit, grace and emotional power that was Nina Simone. She will be performing songs recorded by the late legendary singer, including George Gershwin's "I Loves You Porgy," Nina's big hit, "My Baby Just Cares For Me," and Ms. Simone's own arrangement of "Children Go Where I Send You."
