NATALIE DOUGLAS AT THE DUPLEX ON SUNDAYS IN APRIL

Critically acclaimed Backstage Bistro Award Winner, three-time MAC Award winner and seven-time MAC Award nominee, Natalie Douglas, follows up her hit December appearances at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/) with an April run of new music with her musical director, MAC Award Winner Mark Hartman on the piano, Tony LaVorgna on alto saxophone and Steve Doyle on bass. Natalie will be appearing on Sunday nights at 6:00 pm on April 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th. There is a $15 cover, 2-drink minimum.

Natalie will be performing a mix of new (and maybe a couple of old) favorites with new songs by John Bucchino, Mark Hartman, Rob Hartmann and Jeremy Schoenfeld.

Natalie Douglas received the 1998 and 2001 MAC Awards for Outstanding Jazz Vocalist, and has been nominated for this award for six straight years. She was honored with the 1996 MAC Hanson (Critic's) Award and has also received the Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Female Vocalist. In addition, Natalie's critically-acclaimed debut CD, "Not That Different," was nominated for a 2000 MAC Award for Outstanding Recording.

Natalie has performed at most New York City cabarets, Town Hall, Symphony Space, Sardi's, and has headlined at the FireBird Cafe. She's sung on MSNBC's Morning Blend, Jersey's Talking, and an excerpt from her hit concert continues to air on PBS's "Cabaret Live." Natalie has been profiled in articles in Out Magazine, Canadian Magazine and Cabaret Scenes, among others. Other recent appearances include "The Broadway Musicals of 1940" at New York's Town Hall (which also spawned a CD upon which she can be heard). Her appearance in the DUPLEX'S Downtown Revivals series was an instant sell out, and she recently gave a triumphant performance in last year's Cabaret Convention, also at Town Hall.
