Brian De Lorenzo Returns to NYVC in Vaudeville Show

Brian De Lorenzo will travel to New York's DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) in "Vaudeville Songs - A tribute to Judy Garland's Musical Heritage" on Saturday, April 26th at 2:30 pm, Sunday, April 27th at 1:00 & 5:00 pm and Monday, April 28tg at 6:00 pm. Co-starring in the show are Jennifer Ackerman, with Sue Maskaleris on piano. there is a $12 cover, plus 2-drink minimum. Cabaret singer and actor Brian De Lorenzo was recently nominated for an award in the Best Cabaret, Male category by the Independent Reviewers of New England for his cabaret show "How Was I to Know: Songs of Richard Rodgers" which he performed last July at SCULLERS. De Lorenzo also recently performed at the 2nd Annual Boston Cabaret, performing songs by Johnny Mercer.

Brian's debut recording "Found Treasures" was nominated for a 2000 "Recording of the Year" Award by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC). Brian is also featured extensively on the CD, "Made in America - Vaudeville Songs 1900-1926," a tribute to the Gumm Family (Judy Garland's Family). It includes 22 favorite songs from the turn of the century through the "Roaring Twenties," and is on the Original Cast Recordings label.

Brian recently returned from Chicago where he performed for the second year in a row at the Mabel Mercer Foundation Chicago Cabaret Convention at the Park West, Chicago. In November of 2001, Brian appeared in "The Baker's Wife" with Broadway star Judy Kuhn. The production received a special award from IRNE, the Independent Reviewers of New England.
