PETER
CINCOTTI MAKES SAN FRANCISCO DEBUT AT BIMBO'S 365 CLUB
Peter
Cincotti, 19-year-old Concord Records pop/jazz recording artist will
make his San Francisco debut at BIMBO'S 365 CLUB (1025 Columbus Avenue,
San Francisco, CA - 415-474-0365 - http://www.bimbos365club.com/)
for one performance only Wednesday evening, April 16th at 8:00 pm.
A quadruple threat as a pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger,
Peter breathes new life into both jazz and pop standards. Tickets
are $17 with a 2-drink minimum.
Peter's program at Bimbo's
365 Club will consist of selections from his self-titled Concord Records
debut CD, "Peter Cincotti," released on March 11th. Produced by the
legendary Grammy Award-winning producer Phil Ramone, the CD ranks
#2 on Billboard Magazine's Traditional Jazz Chart and includes pop
and jazz standards as well as three original songs. Arranged by Cincotti,
the CD reflects many aspects of Peter's artistry and a wide palette
of musical influences and eras.
Peter recently completed
a 4-week sold-out engagement in the famed Oak Room at the Algonquin
Hotel. In recent months, Peter has been profiled on "CBS News Sunday
Morning," "Breakfast with the Arts" on A&E and was a featured guest
on "The Caroline Rhea Show." In addition, Peter has been featured
in recent issues of Vanity Fair, ELLE, NY Magazine, NY Times Arts
& Leisure and Teen Vogue.
Currently a sophomore
at Columbia University, Peter developed a following during his high
school years by performing with his own trio at numerous jazz venues,
including The Knickerbocker and Joe's Pub in Greenwich Village. Peter
won a coveted award at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
His talent and ability to captivate an audience have been recognized
in places as far away as Tokyo, where Peter most recently performed.
Peter has been inspired
and influenced by the great jazz pianists Erroll Garner, Bill Evans,
Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum and the vocalists Nat "King" Cole, Shirley
Horn and Carmen McRae. Like Diana Krall, his approach to reinventing
jazz is part of a youthful discovery that infuses the standard with
romance and mystery.
