Tickets are available by contacting the Gala ticketing office at GalaTkts@att.net or phoning 702-650-9936.

New York Times and international best-selling novelist Richard Steinberg, the Gala's National Chair, is pleased to announce that appearing with Ms. McBroom will be some of the biggest, brightest, most recognizable stars from the worlds of international Cabaret, Hollywood, the Broadway Stage, and the best Las Vegas Showrooms; all there to support the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (http://www.specialops.org/) a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1980 to guarantee the chance at a future for the children of America's heroes. Among those talents scheduled to perform are:

AMANDA MC BROOM - Her name first came to the attention of the public when Bette Midler's version of Amanda's song "The Rose" hit number one all over the world. Her songs have been recorded by Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, Judy Collins, Barbara Cook, Anne Murray, Harry Belafonte, Betty Buckley, and The Manhattan Transfer. But growing audiences worldwide became convinced that the best interpretations of Ms. McBroom's songs are by the artist herself; and they have applauded her in concert halls around the world including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Ford Amphitheater in Los Angeles, Wolftrap and the Kennedy Center (where she sang with the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marvin Hamlisch.) She has appeared in many Broadway and off Broadway productions including the New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and European productions of "Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living In Paris," on Broadway in "Seesaw," also in "Sweeny Todd," "A Little Night Music" and "Mame." Fans still revere Ms. McBroom's many film scores and her many guest starring roles on television in everything from "Star Trek: The Next Generation" to her most recent appearance at the Kennedy Center in the NBC special "From The Heart."

ANNE KERRY FORD - A remarkable performer who has been involved in just about every artistic medium imaginable. A classically trained actress, she has appeared on Broadway, been on Days of Our Lives, and in a variety of films, including Clean and Sober with Michael Keaton and Lovesick, in which she played Dudley Moore's wife. Currently, Ms. Ford has been starring as a cabaret artist of the first order, often venturing into jazz and blues clubs with her husband, guitarist Robben Ford. Her shows are a combination of songs and spoken word which run the gamut from poems and monologues to original writings by Anne.

JOAN VIRGINIA VOGEL - She has performed standard operatic roles as well as leading musical theatre throughout the United States. From full blown operatic heroines, to the rigors of the Bach Passions, she is equally at home in almost every style. Her performance in "100 Years of Broadway" brought down the house! She sang legitimate theatre music and shared the stage with principal performers from the original casts of Phantom of the Opera, Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon, Les Miserable and Chess to name but a few.

JOHN BOSWELL - Mr. Boswell has worked on the Broadway productions Liza! Stepping Out in Radio City, The Secret Garden and Crazy for You, and off-Broadway on The Kathy & Mo Show: Parallel Lives, as well as on numerous other stage shows. He has also composed music for several TV programs, including General Hospital and Santa Barbara. Along the way he both sang and played in the vocal trio Wiseguys, as well as serving as musical director for Judy Collins, Andy Williams, Bob Newhart and John Davidson. He has appeared on numerous television shows, ranging from The Tonight Show and The Joan Rivers Show to Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, and The Today Show. Mr. Boswell's CDs include: The Painter; Kindred Spirits; his critically acclaimed Christmas album, Festival of the Heart; and the contemporary instrumental outing Count Me In.

LORRAINA MARRO - Ms. Marro began her singing career as a lead vocalist in a band, primarily performing for private parties, weddings and corporate functions. After having two children, she put her career on hold to spend time with her family. After realizing that she had dreams yet to fulfill, Ms. Marro resumed her career in the mid-90's. Since then, she has performed her own show throughout the West Coast, including such prestigious and important venues as The Gardenia, The Cinegrill, and The Jazz Spot. Ms. Marro made her Las Vegas debut to rave reviews last January, and is a return supporter of the Gala for the Children of Heroes. She is a stylist who tells stories through her music and truly connects with her audience. Her repertoire is comprised of some of the best from the American Songbook.

VICTOR "GEORGIE MOE" MOEA - "Georgie Moe" was born in New York City and started singing on street corners at the age of 11 with local groups. They would sing at sock hops, private parties, and confraternity dances. His wide range of song styles consists of everything from Doo Wop, old and new Standards, and Showtunes. Victor moved his family to Las Vegas in 1989, where he often sings with such luminaries as Buddy Greco, Lezlie Anders, The Belmonts, The Del Vikings, and more. Victor is also a songwriter whose works immortalizing the New York City of his youth were recently recognized by then New York Mayor Rudolph Guliani.

SOWF (to whom the generosity of the gift of these wonderful artists' performances is gifted) was founded in 1980 to serve the 46,000 Army, Navy and Air Force members of the Special Operations community. A tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, SOWF is dedicated to providing college scholarships and post secondary educations to the children surviving Special Operations personnel who are killed in an operational mission or training accident. SOWF provides scholarship grants, not loans, to cover tuition, books, fees, room and board, whatever is needed. They have one simple goal: "To provide surviving children of Special Operations Forces with the education their fallen parent would have wanted for them."
