CabaretFest
is returning to Provincetown for the fourth year!
CabaretFest,
the nation's only mobile cabaret festival, is returning to Provincetown
for it's fourth year. Arriving on May 15, CabaretFest is bringing
a celebration of cabaret performance and demonstrations rarely seen
outside of New York City or Boston.
CabaretFest, taking place
May 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th, is bringing over a dozen artists in
a variety of performances. Headlining CabaretFest will be soap opera
star Eileen Fulton, who has played Lisa Miller on "As The World Turns"
for over 35 years. She will be accompanied by her band.
Additional weekend highlights
include performances by New York based and MAC award winning cabaret
artists Sue Matsuki and Joan Crowe, Frank Dain; international recording
artist Ida Zecco; PTown favorites Patricia Fitzpatrick, Thirsty Burlington,
and Pearlene Dubois; and Boston's Queen of Cabaret, Carol O'Shaughnessy.
Two cabaret master classes will also be taking place on Saturday afternoon.
Other communities to host
CabaretFest include Newburyport, MA and Bridgewater, NH. CabaretFest
has presented such luminaries as singer/songwriter Amanda Green (daughter
of Broadway lyricist Adolph Green) and Tony nominee Sally Mayes ("Closer
Than Ever" & "She Loves Me" currently starring on Broadway in "Urban
Cowboy"). John O'Neil, the founder of CabaretFest, is in the planning
stages of the planning the debut CabaretFest in Boston, MA.
