Steven Brinberg in "Second Hand Rose on Second Avenue"

Impersonator extraordinaire Steven Brinberg (Simply Barbra) will present "Second Hand Rose on Second Avenue" at MAMA ROSE'S (219 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-533-0558 - http://www.mamaroses.net/) on Fridays & Saturdays, November 14th & 15th, 21st, 28th & 29th at 9:30 pm. The show is another chapter of Steven's "Simply Barbara" series, an award winning loving tribute to one of the world's greatest icons. Guest performers will appear in each show including Broadway's Robin DeJesus on the 28th and Barrett Foa on the 29th. There is a $20.00 cover and a 2-drink minimum.

Simply Barbra (MAC Award, Bistro Award) has played to standing room audiences since it first hit the New York scene in 1993. Since then, Brinberg has performed at venues around the world where critics have praised his remarkable transformation and showmanship.

Simply Barbra just completed a sold out tour of the UK and the West End following record breaking runs at London's Playhouse and Jermyn Street theatre. He has toured Australia twice and appeared in Hong Kong, Singapore and at The Edinburgh Festival. He recently made his Broadway debut in a concert of "Funny Girl" featuring Whoopi Goldberg. Other U.S. performance venues include The Walnut Street Theatre (Philadelphia), Bay Street Theatre (Sag Harbor), Theater Lab Houston; New Conservatory Theatre (San Francisco), The Cinegrill (Los Angeles), Davenport's (Chicago), The Colony Theatre (Miami Beach), The Colony Hotel (Palm Beach), Sheldon Hall (St. Louis), The Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino (Atlantic City) and The Mohegan Sun Casino (Connecticut).

In addition, Brinberg has appeared as a guest artist at Marvin Hamlisch's performances in Pittsburgh and Washington DC, and alongside Nathan Lane and Audra McDonald at The Library of Congress concert honoring Stephen Sondheim's 70th Birthday.
