Anna Bergman at THE STANHOPE in December

Talented and tantalizingly sophisticated and Anna Bergman takes the stage at the intimate STANHOPE PARK HYATT NEW YORK (995 Fifth Avenue, NYC - 212-650-4737 - http://stanhopepark.hyatt.com/) supper club with her new concert-cabaret "Across a Crowded Room," beginning with performances on Tuesday, December 2nd. Additional performances are on Tuesday, December 9th, and Monday & Tuesday, December 15th & 16th, all shows at 9:00 pm. The show is directed by award winning director, Sara Louise Lazarus. Alex Rybeck, musical director and arranger, is one of New York's most sought after accompanists. Call the club for cover & minimum information. Dinner is required.

Bergman enjoys singing in foreign languages, and as a classically trained opera singer who is equally at home in popular music, her repertoire ranges from folk to Broadway to opera. Her song list includes, Gounod's Je Veux Vivre, Romberg and Field's Close as Pages in a Book; Blah, Blah, Blah by the Gershwins; I Still Believe in Love by Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager. There are also rare gems by Berlin, Arlen with Gershwin and Harburg and new Broadway composer Joseph Thalken.

This versatility has won Bergman accolades as one of the cabaret industry's top performers. From her signature comic Prince of My Dreams medley to Sartori and Quanrantotto's Con Te Partiro, Bergman casts her provocative spell on everything she sings.

Anna's performance credits include The Kennedy Center's Sondheim Celebration, Carnegie Hall's centennial tribute to Ira Gershwin, appearances with New York Festival of Song, Lyrics & Lyricists, Jonathan Sheffer's opera Blood on the Dining Room Floor, concerts at The Aspen Music Festival, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Chicago Humanities Festival and venues such as The Colony, The Algonquin and Le Chat Noir.
