Chris Barrett Returns to The Century Inn

Award Winning Singer/Pianist Set For Special Appearance Saturday July 12th

Internationally acclaimed, award - winning cabaret singer/pianist Chris Barrett returns to Scenery Hill with a special one-night-only performance at THE CENTURY INN (Route 40, Scenery Hill, PA - 724-945-6600) on Saturday July 12th at 9:00 pm. A special dinner & show package is $55.00 per person or $15.00 for the show only. The evening begins with cocktails & hors d'oeuvres at 5:00 pm, dinner at 7:00 pm and performance at 9:00 pm.

Barrett's impeccable diction and pitch, his fluid liquid baritone combined with his seemingly inexhaustible catalogue of great songs by the likes of Noel Coward, Ivor Novello, Cole Porter and Rodgers & Hart have made him a favorite of audiences here and abroad and especially in Pittsburgh where he began his career 30 years ago. Major engagements have taken him to the finest rooms: The Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles, New York's Carlyle Hotel, The Cipriani in Venice and to London's fabled Berkley Hotel.

He is a regular fixture on the golden triangle Æ Palm Beach Æ The Hamptons Æ New York and is currently ensconced at THE MAIDSTONE ARMS INN & RESTAURANT in East Hampton performing every Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Along with invitations to perform for HRH: The Duke of Edinburgh, Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Regan, Barrett was commissioned by The Smithsonian Institution to celebrate in concert, Cole Porter's Centennial.

The Backstage Bistro Award winner, Chris Barrett has four recordings to his credit. His most recent release "The Best Is Yet To Come", features the extraordinary piano of legendary jazz artist, Dr. Joe Utterback for the prestigious Connoisseur Society. Currently, Barrett is developing two new cabaret shows that will allow him to further define himself as a cabaret artist. Selections from these shows will be included in The Century Inn engagement.
