Meets Cabaret in Arts-at-Andalusia 2003 Summer Series

presents the 2003 edition of their annual summer performance series,
"ARTS-at-ANDALUSIA" with "OLD FRIENDS - Where Broadway Meets Cabaret,"
an intimate evening of music and dining in the garden under the stars,
by the pool on Saturday, July 12th. The evening will star three of
America's premiere Broadway and Cabaret artists. Hosted by Phillip
Officer, the evening will include vocalists Karen Mason and Alicia
Irving, with Dick Gallagher serving as Musical Director. The performance
will begin at 6:00 pm promptly, followed by a summer supper. Admission
for both the cabaret and supper is $125 ($25 cabaret only). Proceeds
will benefit the Garden Internship Program.
Karen Mason was an original
Broadway cast member in the musical, SUNSET BOULEVARD, having played
the starring role of "Norma Desmond" to critical acclaim and standing
ovations. Alicia Irving has a handful of Broadway shows to her credit.
Alicia joined Ms. Mason in the original cast of SUNSET BOULEVARD,
in addition, to being an original cast member in the Tony-nominated
musical, SIDE SHOW, with our host, Phillip Officer. Drama Desk Award
Winner, Dick Gallagher, has served as Musical Director for Patti LuPone.
"OLD FRIENDS - Where Broadway
Meets Cabaret" will spotlight some of your favorite music from such
Broadway classics as, "Anything Goes," "Oliver," "Sunset Boulevard,"
"South Pacific," "Company," "Side Show," and "On A Clear Day You Can
See Forever."
