2 TEXANS, 2 ONE-MAN MULTI-CHARACTER SHOWS, TOGETHER AT DIXON PLACE

Texans Rob Nash and Paul J. Williams will be sharing the bill in two evenings of multi-character comedy one-man shows, HOLY CROSS DOES ROMEO AND JULIET and DISHING IT OUT, as a part of the HOT FESTIVAL at DIXON PLACE (309 East 26th Street, NYC - 212-532-1546 - http://www.dixonplace.org/) at 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 11th and Friday, July 12th. Tickets are $15.00 at the door, $12.00 in advance and $10.00 for students and seniors.

Rob Nash returns to Dixon Place for the New York premiere of his tragic-comedy, HOLY CROSS DOES ROMEO AND JULIET. In his ninth solo theatre piece, for the first time, Rob collaborates with another playwright (who's been dead for 500 years), and plays high school characters from Holy Cross Sucks! who play the hapless citizens of Verona. Half Shakespearean classic, and half backstage shenanigans! For more info on this multi-talented performer, visit Rob's website at http://www.robnash.com/.

Paul J. Williams has long been known not only for his great comedic timing, but also his ability to create recognizable characters as a part of his show. In keeping with that tradition, his new show, DISHING IT OUT, is completely character driven, with Paul playing numerous personas throughout the entire show. Taking place in a Southern cafeteria, the central character is a food server who seems to know everybody who comes through her line. Inevitably, each of these people become the other characters in the show, as we get a glimpse into the daily goings on of the lunchtime patrons of this Southern gathering place. From a chain smoking real estate agent to a narrow-minded preacher (and others in between), DISHING IT OUT is a one-man tour de force capitalizing on Paul's hilarious creativity and improv abilities, as the audience becomes patrons in the cafeteria as well, interacting with the characters on stage. Whether dishing out chicken fried steak, juicy gossip, or words of wit and wisdom, DISHING IT OUT has a hearty appetite for fun and laughter for the whole family.
