Jude Treder-Wolff will appear with her show "Whistling In The Dark"
at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/)
on Sunday, June 16th at 3:00 pm, and also on Sundays, June 23rd &
30th at 5:30 pm. There will be a $15.00 music charge and a $10.00
food/drink minimum.
Jude's most recent critical
acclaim comes from her "Whistling In The Dark" engagements at DANNY'S
SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/)
and Houston's OVATIONS (2536 Times Boulevard, Houston, TX - 713-522-9801)
Cabaret benefit for the Southeast Community Center. Jude was also
named Stand-Up New York Comedy Club's "Funniest Person from the Suburbs"
in 2001. Previous critical acclaim comes from her shows "Evolving
At The Speed Of Life and Love ... and Other Forms of Transportation,"
and her AIDS musical theater piece "For Some Time" (originally titled
"Tapestry of Hope"), based on the AIDS memorial quilt and her awareness
of the discrimination that AIDS patients suffer. "For Some Time" was
created with assistance from a New York Foundation for the Arts grant,
toured the New York area, and raised money for local chapters of the
Names Project.
Jude's regional theater
credits include Hesione in "Triumph of Love," Anna in "The Baltimore
Waltz," Dr. Charlotte in "Falsettos," Sonia in "They're Playing Our
Song," and various roles in "All In The Timing."
