TATHAM RETURNS TO THE GARDENIA
Weekend Engagement
Follows Last Month's Sold-Out Debut
Having
debuted her solo cabaret act last month to a standing-room-only crowd,
Joanne Tatham returns for a weekend engagement on Friday & Saturday,
July 12th & 13th at 9:00 pm to Tom Rolla's THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa
Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444). Musical Director
for the evening is Mel Dangcil.
Tatham, a singer/actress
who has worked off-Broadway, only recently joined the cabaret community,
having taken time off from performing to relocate to the West Coast
and start a family. She burst onto the scene in July 2001 when she
was invited to appear at Hollywood's legendary THE CINEGRILL at the
Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (7000 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA
- 323-466-7000) as part of its "Spotlight" series designed to introduce
up-and-coming talent.
She next appeared at San
Francisco's THE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San
Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.plushroom.com/)
in November, 2001, having been selected to participate in the first
West Coast Cabaret Conference.
The title song from Tatham's
soon-to-be-released first CD "You Can't Hold Me Back" will be included
on the sound track of the upcoming feature film "Roger Dodger" starring
Isabella Rossellini. The film recently took the top prize at the Tribeca
Film Festival, the New York-based film festival launched this year
by Robert DeNiro.
