Robert Saoud To Receive 2002 George Spelvin Award

STONEHAM THEATRE (395 Main Street, Stoneham, MA - 781-279-2200 - http://www.stonehamtheatre.org/) will present the "2002 George Spelvin On Stage Award" to Robert Saoud who is currently performing in the Lyric Stage Company's production of "Lend Me a Tenor."

Saoud was voted as recipient of the award by the Stoneham Theatre's season ticket subscribers. He appeared in several productions in 2001/2002 including the cabaret show, "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered," and " Forever Plaid," "A Christmas Carol," and "Sylvia."

Saoud has performed at The Huntington Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, The Publick Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, The Penobscot Theatre, Worcester Foothills Theatre and the L/A Public Theatre. He frequently performs cabaret in Boston and is a graduate of the Cabaret Symposium at the Eugene O'Neill Center.

The On Stage Award will be presented at the Stoneham Theatre's First Annual Fundraiser & Auction on Friday, May 31st, at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
