Tracy has added intricately textured harmonies to these originally solo song pieces, each a microcosm of life experience.

As a singer/songwriter, Tracy Stark flows from one musical style to another. "Walk This World" includes songs with personal reflections: "Memory To Wear" is the song she wrote upon turning forty. This song received an Honor Award in the Great American Song Contest. The poignant "A Million Hearts," written in the wake of September 11, was featured on the New York Times website. Other Tracy Stark songs have enjoyed similar praise: "Right Where I Belong" was a finalist in the Southern Songwriter's Competition Pop Category, and "The Only One" received a "very honorable mention" in the Songspree Contest, in the Jazz and Blues Category. She was featured in Songwriter's Monthly as one of the Future Charters, and her music continues to be included in the repertoire of many singers and shows.

Tracy Stark has had at least twenty years of classical training, including a degree from Oberlin Conservatory. During her eight-year stint in San Francisco, she was the musical director for shows including "Song of Singapore" and "Party of One," in performing at venues including THE PLUSH ROOM and THE MASON STREET WINE BAR while actively pursuing her own solo career.

During her six years in New York, Tracy Stark has backed up a wide array of vocalists of various genres of music, from Broadway and blues singers to rock bands. Presently she serves as musical director for Lesley Gore, Karen Black, and has accompanied artists such as Lou Christie, Kate Pierson (of the B52's), Pat Boone, The Platters, and Jill Sobule.
