CABARET SHOW ON JOB HUNTING EXTENDED AT DON'T TELL MAMA

CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED SINGER ELAINE ST. GEORGE WAIVES COVER CHARGE FOR THE UNEMPLOYED

Critically acclaimed cabaret singer Elaine St. George is waiving the cover charge for unemployed people when her cabaret show "Ain't We Got Fun?: a love story about looking for work" returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) on Wednesday, December 18th at 9:30 pm, and Saturdays, December 21st and 28th at 6:30 pm. The musical director is Tedd Firth. There is a $10 cover charge (waived for those showing an unemployment check stub) and 2-drink minimum.

Offstage, Ms. St. George is a writer. Her "day job" took a hit when the economy crumbled, so she started looking for work, like tens of thousands of other people in the New York area. Elaine soon realized that in many ways, looking for a job is just like dating and looking for love. Following that logic, "Ain't We Got Fun?" combines love songs by the likes of Harold Arlen, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Arthur Schwartz, and Charles Strouse with humorous selections from the 1920s through 2000.

"Just Around the Corner: Songs of Love and Longing from the 1930s," Ms. St. George's debut CD, is for sale at http://www.amazon.com/ and at all performances. Samples of the CD may be heard at http://www.elainestgeorge.com/.
