Valerie Sneade in "Her Name is Barbra," The Streisand Songbook


Singer comedienne, Valerie Sneade will appear at THE SUPPER CLUB at STEFANO'S (395 Grafton Street, Worcester, MA - 508-981-3544) on Friday, February 8th, at 9:00 pm in her critically acclaimed show "Her Name Is Barbra: The Streisand Songbook." This show is directed by Ida Zecco and musically directed by Jim Rice. This show also features special opening act fifteen year old Ashley Gauvin! Tickets are $12 - $20.

This exciting show will feature twenty of the best songs recorded by legendary singer, Barbra Streisand. The songs featured range from a wide span of Barbra's career “ from the nostalgic early nightclub years of Streisand (1961) till today. Included are fun, zany comical numbers such as "Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf," "Sweet Zoo" and "Miss Marmelstein" as well as Streisand signature songs such as "People," "The Way We Were," "Evergreen" and many more.

Ms. Sneade has an impressive and extensive singing/acting resume of cabaret and regional theatre. Most recently she appeared in "Man Of La Mancha" at Worcester Foothills Theatre. Prior to this, Valerie appeared in the Paper Mill Playhouse production of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde;" Worcester Foothill's Theatre Productions of "A Christmas Carol," "H.M.S. Pinafore" and "Little Shop of Horrors;" The Palace Theatre of Manchester's production of "Grease;" New Jersey's Evergreen Dinner Theatre production of "Singing In The Rain," and many more. Ms. Sneade's two recent critically acclaimed cabaret shows, "Always A Bridesmaid, Never A Bride" & "The Trouble With Yes," have appeared to sold out houses throughout central Massachusetts and the Greater Boston area. In the summer of 2000, Ms. Sneade attended The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center Cabaret Symposium where she worked with legendary cabaret artists Margaret Whiting and Julie Wilson.
