Smith Swings "Blue Skies" Back to Don't Tell Mama

Vickie
Smith is back at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788
- http://www.donttellmama.com/)
in April, with a requested repeat performance of her swingin' show
"Blue Skies." Accompanied by her new musical director, Bryon Sommers,
and the added talents of Frank Wagner on bass, the show runs for 3
additional performances: Sunday, April 14th at 3:00 pm, Monday, April
22nd at 7:00 pm and Wednesday, April 24th at 6:30 pm. There is a $12.00
cover plus a 2-drink-minimum. Reservations: (212) 757-0788. Half price
cover for MAC and NYSMS members, and Seniors 65+.
Moving from singing with
New York Swing bands into cabaret, Vickie developed this show with
an accent on the happy songs of jazz and swing. Selections include
"Stompin' at the Savoy," with additional lyrics by Ann Hampton Callaway,
"Choo Choo Cha Boogie," her own arrangement of "New York State of
Mind," with rich vocal harmonies, and of course, an upbeat "Blue Skies."
It's a show for those who love to smile.
