MORGAN SILLS RETURNS TO DANNY'S WITH "THE ROGER EDENS SONGBOOK"

DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) is proud to announce the return engagement of "MORGAN SILLS sings THE ROGER EDENS SONGBOOK." The show will play Mondays October 7th, 14th, and 28th at 9:15 pm, and Monday, October 21st at 10:00 pm (Cabaret Convention Week), as well as Mondays November 4th and 11th, also at 7:00 pm. Mr. Sills will be accompanied by a trio led by Musical Director Ed Goldschneider, conductor of the Broadway hit Urinetown. There is a $15 cover charge and a $10 food/drink minimum.

"MORGAN SILLS sings THE ROGER EDENS SONGBOOK" is the first show to celebrate the work of three-time Academy Award-winning composer, lyricist and producer Roger Edens, who composed songs for Ethel Merman, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, and many other legends from the golden age of the Hollywood musical. His work includes "Dear Mr. Gable" and "Born in a Trunk," introduced by Judy Garland; "Moses Supposes" from Singin' in the Rain; and Oscar-nominated songs like "Pass That Peace Pipe" and "Our Love Affair." Through words, songs and wonderful anecdotes provided by the stars who knew Roger Edens, Morgan Sills provides a unique and entertaining history of one of Hollywood's greatest unsung behind-the-scenes figures.

Morgan Sills made his New York cabaret debut with THE ROGER EDENS SONGBOOK. He has toured nationally in FOREVER PLAID and appeared in the off-Broadway revival of FLAHOOLEY. Other New York singing appearances include Avery Fisher, Rockefeller Center, and LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN. Regional and stock credits include HOW TO SUCCEED, A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN, GREASE and FOREVER PLAID, in which he has played or understudied all four roles.

Ed Goldschneider (Musical Direction and Arrangements) is currently conductor of the Broadway hit, URINETOWN. Other New York credits include YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, THE FANTASTICKS, and national tours of RENT, FAME and WEST SIDE STORY.
