MAC Nominee Parker Scott Extends AWAITING YOU at DON'T TELL MAMA


MAC Nominee, actor-singer Parker Scott, extends his critically acclaimed show, A WAITING YOU, at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/), on Saturday, June 22nd at 6:00 pm and on Sunday, June 23rd at 6:00 pm. There is a $15.00 cover charge ($10.00 for MAC) and a 2-drink minimum. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Take the haunting beauty of Parker Scott's voice, add the exquisite, soulful sounds of Rubin Kodheli's cello and the brilliant, gorgeous arrangements of music director and pianist Dick Gallagher, and infuse the bold direction of Gerry Geddes and you have A WAITING YOU, a romantic collection of songs by contemporary composers Adam Guettel, Lee Holdridge, John Bucchino, Anthony Gaglione and Paul Williams mixed with standards by Irving Berlin, Frank Loesser, Richard Rodgers and Henry Mancini. Additionally, Parker will feature a classical art song and Richard Strauss.

Parker's previous cabaret appearances include engagements at Danny's, The Duplex and Eighty-Eights. His New York theatrical performances include Roy in "The Odd Couple" and Giles Ralston in "The Mousetrap;" in regional theater he has appeared as The Wolf/Cinderella's Prince in "Into The Woods," Magaldi in "Evita," Ralph Rackstraw in "HMS Pinafore," Christopher Wren in "The Mousetrap," and as Archibald Craven in "The Secret Garden."

Last spring, he performed the role of Donald in the opera, "Gallantry," as a guest artist with the students at Towson University in Towson, MD, where he also led a master class on cabaret performance. In addition, Mr. Scott has sung with the Washington, Baltimore, and Wolf Trap Opera Companies, The National Symphony and performed the role of Monostatos in "The Magic Flute" at the Bay View Music Festival.
